Derek Reeves has experience follows some 40 year working within The Post Office (now The Royal Mail Group plc) on a variety of activities from operational management through to planning and property. This has involved industrial engineering activity, management excellence, project management, procedural & financial management, quality management and general management.

Formerly Chairman of The Institute for Optimum Nutrition (known as ION) - a National educational charity.

Was a Recognition Panel member at Capital Quality Ltd (now Inspiring Business Performance Ltd) for Investors in People. This involved peer review of companies seeking recognition as an Investor in People against a national provided standard.

A qualified person assessor covering Operations (the intellectual qualities of candidates) and Personnel (the motivational, leadership and people relationship skills of candidates) in the selection of people to fill senior posts - either by internal selection or external recruitment.

Also knowledgeable in the Hay process of Job Evaluation - setting the right level of grading within a company hierarchy.

Was a senior assessor with The Royal Mail Group for the internal Business Excellence review of Business Centres under the European Foundation for Business Excellence (EFQM) model.

Understanding of company financial control and essential budgetary processes.  Involvement with small company financial management as part of The Institute for Optimum Nutrition - was Chairman of the Audit Committee under Corporate Governance.

Currently undertakes process and financial audits of Local Government Parish Councils (acting as Internal Auditor), Parochial Church Council and charities and the development and maintenance of websites. 

Was Chairman of Trustees of Hammerwood and Holtye Village Hall.

Provides help and guidance for Computer systems and small networking. Undertakes PC repairs and building of new systems.
